Sixth Grade Science Egg-speriment

Sixth graders used an egg as a model of a cell. They measured the diameter off an uncooked chicken egg, recorded their results, and then soaked the egg in vinegar for two days. They remeasured the diameter, and then did the same with water, food coloring, salt water, and finally, a liquid of their choosing, ranging from Sprite to Windex.  The teams made it through the tragedy of broken eggs by The Ameba Girls and The Nuclei to learning how to record and chart data. As one student said, "It was an Egg-cellent Egg-speriment."
