Use of Facility

Classrooms are locked when teachers leave for the day. Unless the teacher or principal is present, we do not allow classroom doors to be unlocked for students to retrieve books or other forgotten items. The main doors to the school are locked at 3:45 p.m. and the same guidelines apply.

Visitors and Checking In

The front doors of the school are locked from 8:15 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. Visitors should ring the doorbell for admittance. The security system requires that everyone enter the building using the door on the right and exit using the door on the right.

It is essential that we provide a safe, secure environment for our students and have constant knowledge of those in the building. With that in mind, parents, visitors, and volunteers are to check in at the office and ask for a visitor’s pass before going to a classroom or any other area of the school. Parents, visitors, and volunteers should not go to classrooms during school hours unless prior arrangements have been made with the teacher and after having checked in with the front office.
