Knights of Columbus - St. Joseph’s Round Table
The St. Joseph’s Round Table is a men’s group in the parish. Each man is an active member of Council #4118 of the Knights of Columbus and an active parishioner at St. Joseph’s. The Round Table meets as the need arises for the help of the Knights within the parish. Altar Society
St. Joseph’s Altar Society serves the Church and fellow parishioners in many ways: providing the linens, vestments, candles, altar supplies, flowers for the church; cleaning the church; preparing for funeral dinners for parish families, and donating to missions, parish needs, etc. In providing these services, the members become acquainted with fellow parishioners and have the opportunity to show their love for God and His Church. A Mass is offered for the members’ intentions each month. The society meets the first Thursday of each month from September through May. The annual Bazaar is held every November. Boosters
The Boosters is an organization made up of the Athletic Director, coaches, and parents of athletes. It sponsors events to raise money for the athletic program, including maintenance and upkeep of the gym. School students in grades 6 - 8 can participate in volleyball, basketball, track, and cheerleading.

Adoration Chapel
St. Joseph Parish’s Perpetual Adoration Chapel is located in the Parish Hall. Perpetual Adoration enables each individual to grow in faith and love of the Eucharist. The devotion comes from the love of the people for their beloved Savior and is recognized as a precious gift given to us through His love for His people. Accepting a scheduled hour of devotion is encouraged for all parishioners, and everyone is welcome to come and give adoration to our Savior in the Eucharist. Prayer Line
To have your intention added to the prayer line, please contact Laura Call at 932-1215. A name is put on the prayer line if the intention involves a serious illness, serious accident, death, or problem pregnancy. The prayer line for the bulletin is for people with an illness that is either terminal, chronic, or long-term.

Funerals
Liturgy planning books are available at the Parish Office and Father Smeltzer will work with families. When Father Smeltzer is notified of a death in the parish and the family requests a funeral dinner, the parish then contacts the Altar Society Funeral Dinner Committee chairperson. The family provides the meat, coffee, bread, and margarine. Members of the Altar Society donate everything else and serve the dinner. Women are contacted in alphabetical order to donate or work the dinners.

Respect Life & Social Justice
As Catholics, we proclaim that human life is a precious gift from God and each person who receives this gift has responsibilities toward God, self, and others. We must protect and nurture human life at every stage of its existence. This organization is committed to promoting and defending the dignity and sanctity of all human life from the unborn to the elderly, from cloning to stem cell research, from immigration to the homeless, from the incarcerated to the abused. The library contains videos, books, and magazines for parishioner use. Any registered parishioner can use the library by checking out a key from the rectory office.

Messengers
The Messengers is a group of individuals with disabilities who come together to share their faith and prayer life with each other. Anyone with a disability is invited to join. The group meets each Monday from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. September through May in the Mother Teresa room of the Parish Center. For more information, please contact Karen Hay at 265-6621.

Harvest House
Harvest House is an organization for people 50 years and older. Harvest House goals are social awareness, service to others, new religious experience, continuing education, recreation and celebrations, and community involvement. St. Joseph’s Harvest House meets the first Wednesday of each month. Registration is at 10:30 a.m., prayer service begins at 11:00 a.m., a short meeting follows, and then a covered dish luncheon and program. There are also combined activities where all Harvest House centers of the Wichita Diocese gather together. For more information, please contact JoAnn Morton at 945-3538.

Quilters
The quilting group is a committee of the Altar Society made up of women in the parish who come together to make handmade quilts. The women cut, piece, sew, and hand quilt each and every quilt. The funds raised aid in the purchase of necessities for the Church through the Altar Society. The quilters meet in the St. Anne Room of the Parish Center on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to noon and on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. For more information, please contact Dorothy Beckman at 721-0874.

Scouts
Cub Scouts and Brownies/Girl Scouts is available for the boys and girls of the parish. Regular meetings with various activities are held for each troop. For information on Brownies/Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, please contact the St. Joseph School office, 261-5860.

Visions
Visions is a group that provides opportunity for single Catholics to fully develop spiritually, socially, and intellectually with the Catholic Community. This is a Diocesan organization. The group meets on the second Friday of each month at different locations. Members must be a practicing Catholic, 21 years of age or older, single, and free to marry in the Church.

Y outh Ministry
St. Joseph’s Catholic Youth Ministry (CYO) is an invitation to youth, Grades 9-12, who wish to follow Christ on their journey of life and faith and participate with other young people in spiritual and social activities in a faith-filled community. There are also some programs for youth in Grades 6-8. For more information, please contact the Parish Office.

Bereavement Ministry
The bereavement ministry offers a one-to-one support for parishioners who have lost a family member through death. On the first Friday of the month the ministry gathers for Mass at 6PM. After Mass a potluck meal is shared as the group shares their personal experience of grief. The group offers compassion and support to one another as they journey through grief. In January of every year, the ministry invites all parishioners who are grieving a loss to attend a special memorial Mass for the deceased. The Mass is followed by a breakfast served by the bereavement group.
