The playground apparatus is to be used only for that type of play for which it was designed and according to the playground equipment instructions.
Children are to stop all play immediately and come to line up when the bell or whistle sounds.
Children are to wait a turn on the playground apparatus.
Personal, student owned equpment or balls may be permitted by the classroom teacher; howver, any loss or damage of personal equipment or balls is the responsibility of the owner.
Running games, basketball, etc., are allowed in open areas away from stationary playground equipment.
Children may go around the fence or across the street only with the permission of an adult on duty, and should stay on sidewalks or in crosswalks where appropriate.
Softball bats are to be used only in front of the screened areas on the softball diamonds during P.E. classes.
Jump ropes are to be used for mumping only. Do not use jump ropes in other games.
Students who are playing games involving the kicking or throwing of balls should only do so in a safe area away from others.
The following activities are especially dangerous and are specifically noted:
No baseballs (hardballs) will be allowed at any time.
Children may not play “horse”. (Horse: one child gets on the shoulder or back of another child and tries to pull or push the “rider” off another pair of players.
Bombardment may not be played at recess. (This game can be played under the supervision of an adult during P.E.)
Candy and/or gum may not be eaten or chewed on the playground.
Students will not play rough games such as tackle football, wrestling, or play fighting.
Rocks, snowballs, or any other inappropriate objects may not be thrown on school ground.
Students may not bounce balls against the buildings.
No skateboards or scooters will be allowed at school.
The playground boundary lines are the fences around the playground areas. The following areas are not included in the play area and children are not permitted in these areas:
