Textbooks, Library Books, Property

Students are responsible for all books and supplies issued to them. If school materials become lost or damaged, the student is required to pay for them before report cards are issued. It is the responsibility of the student to pay for the replacement or repair of school property damaged or destroyed.

Classroom Rules

Each teacher will review the discipline policy with the class and a copy will be sent home the firt month of school. The parent and student must sign the form indicating they have read the information and return it promptly to the teacher.

Liturgies

Students in 1st through 8th Grades usually attend Mass at 8:15 a.m. each Wednesday and Friday unless a special Mass is held during the week. Kindergarten students attend the Mass on Fridays only. The Mass is planned by individual classes, with students and teachers having an opportunity to participate with the various parts. Parents are invited to attend Mass with the students.

Safety Patrol

Students in the fifth - eighth grades may volunteer to serve on the Safety Patrol. These students patrol the crosswalk directly in front of the building from 7:45 - 8:00 a.m. In the afternoons, the patrol is on duty from 3:25 p.m. until 3:40 p.m. Names of students not following the crosswalk procedures shall be given to the principal for disciplinary action.

Lost and Found

A lost and found box is kept in the hall outside Good Hall. It fills quickly with articles of clothing that are not marked. Parents and students are welcome to check the box at any time. Lost jewelry and items of value may be claimed with the secretary. Please label your child’s coats, hats, gloves, uniforms, supplies, and other items with a permanent marker.

Telephone

Students must have adult permission before using the telephone to make calls. Phoning home for forgotten materials, requests to have a friend over, or for any reason other than an emergency is highly discouraged.

Electronic Devices

Students are not allowed to bring cameras, pagers, cell phones, CD players, and other electronic devices to school. If found, they will be given to the principal and may be kept until the end of the school year.

Copy Machines

Copy machines are for school use only. Students are discouraged from having the office make personal copies. These copies will be made at the discretion of office personnel, with a charge of 15 cents per copy.
