Traffic Procedures

When working with an efficient and effective traffic procedure, student safety is the number one priority. Below are the guidelines established for deliveries and pick-ups. You, as parents, will be expected to follow the procedure at all times.
 

1. Cars must enter at the south entrance to the parking lot and exit at the alley or turn right on to Millwood. There are to be no left turns on to Millwood.
2. Students are required to enter/exit the vehicle from the left side or walk in front of the vehicle so the driver has full view of their presence.
3. The Safety Zone is designated to provide a secure and safe place for students waiting for their ride. Cars are not allowed inside the circle, as this presents a hazard.
4. If parents choose to park on the south side of the parking lot, they are expected to walk to the safety zone to retrieve their children. A student will not be allowed to walk to a vehicle if it is located in this area, as it presents a danger to the students and other drivers.
5. Should a parent need to speak to a staff member before or after school, please park on the south side of the parking lot and not in the circle. This will keep traffic flowing in an orderly manner.
